Martin Brodeur was all set to make his 14th start Sunday at Prudential Center.
Instead, the 40-year old netminder left the ice early during warmups and was scratched from his scheduled start against the Jets.
Johan Hedberg will start for the second straight day. Brodeur is sitting on the bench as the backup.
We’ll monitor the situation and update as news comes in.
UPDATE: Tom Gulitti of Fire & Ice speculates that it might have been a shoulder issue for Brodeur.

Meanwhile, the Devils are calling the official reason for Brodeur sitting “a little soreness.” He’ll be re-evaluated Monday.
