Should Claude Giroux be suspended for hit on Zubrus?

With couple seconds remaining in the second period, Flyers’ Claude Giroux delivered a somewhat head shot on Danius Zubrus.

After the game, Zubrus told reporters that Giroux made contact with the side of his head.

Pete DeBoer said, “For me, it looks like textbook like the kind of hits we’re trying to get out of the game.”

Bob McKenzie of TSN points out that Giroux on Zubrus was classic Rule 48 “picking” of head violation. No apparent injury but Coyotes’ Rostislav Klesla was suspended on no apparent injury on Predators’ Matt Halischuk.
