UPDATE: That means we’ll likely see the same line combinations the Devils rolled out in practice yesterday, starting with Stefan Matteau on the first line at left wing.
Here’s what else Devils fans should expect to start the game tonight, with Martin Brodeur in net:
Stefan Matteau-Travis Zajac-Ilya Kovalchuk Bryce Salvador-Marek Zidlicky
Dainius Zubrus-Patrik Elias-David Clarkson Henrik Tallinder-Anton Volchenkov
Ryan Carter-Stephen Gionta-Steve Bernier Andy Greene-Mark Fayne
Mattias Tedenby-Jacob Josefson-Cam Janssen
That means Adam Larsson and Peter Harrold will likely be inactive again and Krys Barch is back in the press box after one game on the ice.
The Devils rolled the same lines from Saturday’s game at today’s morning skate, meaning you should expect the same forward lines against the Flyers tonight, at least to start. As a reminder, here’s the line combos:
As for defense, the Devils didn’t pair up players on the back end Tuesday morning, which is a little curious, although I expect the same pairings at least to start. And with there being a couple days off in between the last game and tonight, it’s Marty in goal again.
Expect the same inactives against Philly, as well.

Yesterday, Jacob Josefson and Travis Zajac sat out practice to “rest,” according to coach Pete DeBoer. Both players were back out on the ice today and will play tonight against the Flyers.
Zach Parise talks after the morning skate today. The Devils are taking on rival New York Rangers tonight. Give it a look.
