David Clarkson scored his 23rd goal of the year last night in the Devils 4-3 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs. Clarkson is having a career year this season in scoring. He has 23 goals and 10 assists. His career highs before that were 17 goals and 15 assists in 08-09. Clarkson has attributed some of his success this season to first year Devils head coach Pete DeBoer, who coached Clarkson in juniors for the Kitchener Rangers.

Dainius Zubrus celebrates Alexei Ponikarovsky’s goal in front of Ducks goaltender Joan’s Hiller. The Devils would go on to defeat the Anaheim Ducks 3-2 in a shoot out last night at the Prudential Center.

Ilya Kovalchuk scored his first hat trick as a Devil in a 4-1 victory over the Buffalo Sabres. He also assisted on Petr Sykora’s goal. Kovalchuk has been red hot since the All Star break. Congrats to Kovy on his first New Jersey Devils hat trick.

Ilya Kovalchuk had his first Gordie Howe Hat Trick (a fight, a goal and an assist) this afternoon in the Devils’ 6-4 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers. Kovalchuk had a really nice shot on Brayden Schenn’s face in the fight and was the clear cut victor in the fight. Kovalchuk was reacting to when Parise was slewfooted in the 2nd period. Good to see an emotional Kovalchuk.

Zach Parise scored 2 goals last night including the game winner in the Devils’ 5-3 come from behind victory over the Montreal Canadiens. With a celebration like this he may want to stay in New Jersey after all.

Ilya Kovalchuk scored the shootout game winner last night when the Devils defeated the New York Rangers 4-3. Kovalchuk is 8 for 9 on the shootout this season.

The Devils came back from a 3-0 deficit to beat the Ottawa Senators 5-4 in a shootout. The team really came together after coach Peter DeBoer pulled Martin Brodeur for Johan Hedberg. It’s great to see that the team responded positively.

Brodeur made some amazing saves in the Devils’ victory over the Sabres last night. This was from his best save of the night by shutting down Pominville’s chance.

Adam Henrique scored his second consecutive game winning goal Tuesday night in a 3-2 victory against the Carolina Hurricanes. Henrique is the first Devils rookie to score two consecutive game winning goals since Patrik Elias did Nov. 8-10, 1997.
